Get Creative with Extensions

When St. Louis Bread Co promoted their new flatbread pizzas in St. Louis, they selected two side by side 14 x 48 bulletins and an eye-catching design.

Extensions were used to enhance the design and connect the 2 bulletins to each other. As a slice of pizza is lifted with a spatula, the image of melted cheese stretching between the billboards was printed on vinyl and stretched between the 2 billboards. The cheesy extensions were finished with 1” hems and webbing to add rigidity so they could support themselves without needing any further structural support from behind. Finally, a 1’ x 1’ image of cheese was printed and cut apart by installers to cover the screwheads and washers that were used to attach the cheese. The spatula handle also extends above the top of the board to further add to the embellishment.

There were several phone calls between production and installation crews to coordinate all of the finishing details prior to printing & installation.

Production for these units was handled by Independent’s Service, and the results were a delicious feast for the eyes.
